Breckenridge, Colorado – a Foodie Weekend!

I recently got together with a fabulous group of women- some of the most amazingly talented food bloggers around- for a fun weekend in Breckenridge Colorado full of great food, wine, fabulous views, and a lot of great inspiration for blogging strategy and techniques.

It was truly one of the best trips I have ever taken blogging, in one of my favorite places to visit!

We walked around town one afternoon and snapped headshots of each other while taking in these gorgeous views…

Breckenridge has long been one of my favorite towns to visit. It is beyond gorgeous, the town is truly charming and has a great, victorian feel- and there are great shops and restaurants everywhere. I was so excited to bring some of my new favorite bloggers to one of my favorite towns!

We stayed in literally the most amazing house, ever.

The Slopeside Manor is one of Visit Breck’s luxury properties- and it was really a treat! There were large, spacious rooms, a large theater with comfy chairs, a gorgeous, gourmet kitchen with a long table and room to fit over 12- as well as balconies with views to town and of the slopes!

gorgeous homes in breckenridge, colorado

It was really a dream location, and would be perfect for family reunions or a big friends weekend! This is one of the neighboring homes on the street we were on- how gorgeous is it? We had so much fun hanging around this firepit– one night we had s’mores just inside,

and the next, we had a chocolate tasting from Nuance Chocolate (my favorite artisan chocolate shop, ever.)

I could have spent a week just sitting by that firepit! We were also extremely lucky to get to sample some delicious foods from some of our favorite sponsors. It was so much fun to learn about companies we all love and use all the time on our blogs and with our families! We had a gorgeous stocked pantry thanks to our friends at Natural Grocers- one of my favorite whole-foods stores in Colorado (with locations pretty much all over the west and midwest). Natural Grocers has a ton of our favorite foods- we actually hit up one of their locations in Evergreen before the weekend began to stock up on gourmet cheeses, crackers, olives, cured meats, tons of fruits and vegetables, healthy snack options like hummus, tortilla chips, and multigrain crackers- we had so much gorgeous fresh food, we had a hard time eating it all! We also had a gorgeous dinner one evening with a private chef and the GoBreck team. I got to play Sommolier and share some of my favorite La Crema wines- we paired our dinner with their Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and the Monterrey Pinot Gris . I had so much fun talking about how to swirl wine in your glass and really stick your nose in to get the full scent of the wine- and let it wash all over your tongue to feel the full flavor of the wine.

Breckenridge is home to a phenomenal cooking school nearby- Colorado Mountain College produces lots of amazing talent for the nearby resort towns- and our chef Ian is an instructor at the school. They even have classes that would be awesome for a girls night out, or a corporate event!

I’m dying to go to some soon!

Ultimate pizookie- so delicious!

We had so much good food- it is hard to sum it all up. But you better believe when Erin posts the recipe for these killer pizookies (one of my favorites from the trip) I will be sharing! All of a sudden, our amazing weekend was over, and we headed down Loveland Pass to drop off everyone at Denver International Airport. It was a gorgeous drive (though I’m pretty sure Aimee and Becky will never, ever drive on Loveland Pass ever again…)
