I am in baby mode- still happily sopping up those adorable newborn snuggles. Unfortunately snuggles aren't the only thing I am covered in- yep, with a newborn comes a mess. A whole lot of mess.
With little man, I didn't pay too much attention to the overtly cute details of babies- I bought a bunch of blue and green stuff, painted some baseball decor, and called it a day. But with a little miss in the house, I had to step up my game- and luckily my mom was here to make some fun things for baby B, including these oh-so-adorable, quick and inexpensive burpcloths.
Seriously- 10 minutes is all you need, along with a strip of fabric from a fat quarter, some ribbon, and some diaper rolls. These make for fun, fashionable cloths for your trips around town and great baby shower gifts.
Come and see how she made them!
First, assemble your materials.
Mom took a strip of leftover fabric as wide as the middle section of the diaper insert cloth and sewed it on with a straight stitch on each side, the top and bottoms.
Next, add some ribbon along the sides of the fabric strip to make a finished edge.
Cut any excess fabric so it is the same length as the diaper cloth, and paint a small amount of fabric mod podge along the edges to seal the fabric.
Roll and wrap with a simple plain ribbon to give as a stylish baby shower gift!
