4th of July Felt Star Bunting is a super easy classic craft that requires few supplies to create a timeless decoration!

If you are new to my blog, you might not know that I make a lot of claims.
"Easiest. Craft. Ever" gets tossed around a lot over here- you could say I am the Martha Stewart of lazy crafting.
I am also the champ of last minute holiday decorations. Every time a holiday comes and goes, I think of how it will be different, next time. I will pin and plan months in advance (who ARE those people already pinning Christmas? Don't they know I am barely over Easter mentally??). I will have a wonderful, beautiful home that is full of life and celebration every time a special date appears on my calendar.
Ha! My piles of dirty laundry and stinky diapers barely get done, so I don't know how I think I am ever going to become some wonderfully organized celebration queen.
I can however pull out some great last minute crafts that help make holidays fun for the family and brighten up our BBQ's.
If you are a lazy decorator, but still want to have some darling displays, this post is for you! Come and get your patriotic groove back with some felt, bakers twine and a little red, white and blue charm.
For this bunting, you will need:
-Thick felt in red, white and blue (awesome tip: my Jo Ann's had pre-cut red white and blue stars for $1!!!)
-A Paper cutout star shape to trace
-scissors
-bakers twine
-sharp embroidery needle
Here's the easy instructions:
-Cut your felt using a star template, or use pre-cut star felt cutouts
-Thread your embroidery needle with bakers twine
-String through felt stars. You can loop it through two points for a bunting that will sit flat, or just through the tops for one that moves, like mine pictured.
-Hang and enjoy!
I know, I know, I am not re-creating the wheel here. But it is super cute, takes only a few minutes, and made me really happy! Hope you all have a happy 4th of July!
(and be sure to come back soon to see the way I use these for a fabulous party I am throwing!)
