Easy Pumpkin Bling

print recipe

Are you panicking for Halloween? It is coming up so so so fast!

If you are looking for a fun, festive and gorgeous way to decorate for Halloween that isn’t your traditional toothy or spooky jack-o-lantern, I’ve got you covered– make a blinged out pumpkin in minutes!

I have to apologize, I on’t really have pictures for this tutorial- it was just so easy, I kind of forgot to take pictures. But it is super easy, so no worries!

First, I spray painted a funkin I picked up at Joann’s on clearance (love their holiday stuff is always on sale before the holiday- perfect for the procrastinator). I just used some indoor/outdoor Krylon metallic silver paint an gave it about 3 light coats. (Let the funkin dry in between each coat).

Next, when the funkin was completely dry, I heated up my hot glue gun and grabbed some crystals I grabbed in the jewelry section (the flat backed kids jewelry kind).

I did quick swirls with the hot glue gun and quickly added on some crystals along the glue lines. I also ran a couple of lines of hot glue around the stem of the pumpkin to make a blinged out stem.

I also glued on a pretty, shimmery ribbon to give it a little bit more of a flowy feeling.

You could easily change up the colors and the crystals for funky, bright colors instead of a shimmery elegant look… but I love how beautiful this turned out!

You’ll see this pretty gourd tomorrow in my Cinderella party post… (cant wait!!!)… but it would be a beautiful centerpiece at an elegant Halloween dinner, illuminated with candles.

What are your favorite blinged out Halloween decorations?

  1. This turned out so chic! It is really easy and there are so many ways to personalize it. Put the gems on in a letter outline to monogram it! 🙂 (Okay, I’m obsessed with monograms, it’s my flaw!) 🙂

    Thanks for sharing,
    Shirley
