I have been compensated for this post from Thymes. All opinions are my own.
I have long lusted after Thymes scents- the incredibly realistic and non-overpowering candles and diffusers that come in many delicious varieties, but one of my favorites has always been their Frasier Fir. There is something about the Thymes Frasier Fir scent I just can't get enough of- it is like a slightly sweet take on a freshly cut Christmas tree. It is probably my favorite scent, and Thymes managed to literally bottle it up and bring back fond memories of Christmases from my childhood- cutting trees fresh in the forest- sipping cocoa- or heading up for Christmas ski trips.
I wanted to incorporate the scents into my home decor as naturally as possible, and place them around the home. I like to place the candles and diffusers in sparkly Christmas vignettes, surrounded by lots of green, cheery elements. I even added it to a Thanksgiving table design I am going to preview very soon!
While I don't light candles as we eat (it can mess up the flavors of your food), it is lovely to have candles around as guests arrive. It provides a warm, comforting glow and fabulous fragrance! And the Frasier Fir scent isn't overpowering like some floral scents might be around food.
I absolutely love the scented ornaments. While my family has been going artificial for years with Christmas trees, my husband loves fresh real trees he drives to the mountains to cut himself. Don't get me wrong- I LOVE real trees. But they are messy, can be hard to find (our regular tree grounds sadly burned in a fire two summers ago), and are a bit dangerous if you like to take trips around the holidays. Plus lets me honest- watering them can be such a pain!
I recently got a fabulously easy tree, and it looks super realistic. But it doesn't SMELL like the real thing. Even my picky husband perked up when I lit the Frasier Fir candles and opened up the diffuser. He was so excited he actually admitted he likes how easy my artificial tree is! Isn't it funny how just the smell of something can bring back such strong, comforting memories? I think Christmas was sadly missing without the tree smell he loved so much- but were both so pleased with the Thymes Frasier Fir we're ready to stock up and put a diffuser in (almost) every room!
I will also admit I was a bit leery of the Frasier Fir scented cleaning products when I first saw them. Many scented cleaning products are just too strong for me, and smell oddly- like they still contain a strong bleach like smell- but these smell just like the diffuser. When recently washing some unpleasant dishes, I used some of the dishwashing liquid and it completely hid the scent of some unsavory sippy cups I found in my daughters room. The soap didn't leave an unpleasant aftertaste or smell after they were washed either- it was great, strong dish soap!

I was really excited to learn more about Thymes when my package came- they have such a cool back story!
