Valentine’s Breakfast

So excited to have Kristen from Ella Claire Inspired back today with this amazing looking breakfast-perfect for your valentine! Take it away, girl!
I love going all out on holidays to make my loved ones feel special. Simple little touches here and there make such a big difference, and I have to admit I get a little giddy putting them together.
Today, I wanted to share a fun idea for breakfast for your Valentine!
What better way to say, “Good Morning, my sweet loves” than a nice and yummy breakfast?
The recipe for this German pancake is super simple. And, I have tweaked it so that is has no sugar and less fat than a regular German Pancake.
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
2. Put 1/3 stick of butter {the real stuff} in a pan {I used a 7 1/2″ x 11″},
and stick your pan in the oven while it preheats.
2. Throw these ingredients in a blender, and blend until smoothe:
6 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
a splash of vanilla
3.Pour your blended mixture into the pan with the melted butter.
{confession ~ I am impatient and usually don’t wait for the oven to
be fully preheated before I pour the batter in.}
4.Bake 12-15 minutes (or more depending on your oven)
until the middle is cooked through.
It will poof into a wonderfully crazy shape and then once you
pull it out of the oven, it will sink quite a bit.

5. Take a cookie cutter and carefully {don’t burn yourself!} cut your
German pancake into hearts.
6. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, and serve with your choice of fresh fruit or syrups.
Don’t forget to make one for yourself, too, so you can sit and enjoy the morning with your sweet Valentine{s}.
