First, cut the bacon up into small bits and sautee until crisp. Remove from pan and reserve.
Next, sautee diced onions in the pot until translucent, or slightly brown. Remove and set aside with bacon.
Then, brown the ground beef in stages, and reserve with bacon and onion when brown. (You can toss in the whole pound of ground beef, but it is easier to brown it in smaller stages.)
Finally, toss the onions, bacon, beef and the rest of the ingredients into a deep casserole pan and bake at 350 for 1 hour.
Serve as a side to meat, and enjoy!
