Easy Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of Ground Beef
  • 4 tablespoons of Oil
  • ½ cup of finely diced Bell Pepper
  • ½ cup of finely diced Onion
  • 4-5 cloves of Garlic finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of Tomato Paste
  • ? cups of Ketchup
  • 2-3 tablespoons of BBQ Sauce
  • ? cup of Water
  • 1 tablespoon of Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of yellow Mustard
  • ½ teaspoon of Worcestershire Sauce
  • Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes Optional
  • ½ teaspoon each of Salt and Pepper
  • 8 brioche buns

Instructions

  • Finely chop and keep separated the onion, garlic, and bell pepper.
  • Brown the ground beef with 2 tablespoons of oil.  Drain and remove from pan.
  • In the same pan, saute the bell pepper, garlic, and bell pepper.
  • Add the cooked ground beef back to the pan with the vegetables.
  • Add the tomato paste, water, ketchup, BBQ sauce, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.  Stir well and cook for 2-4 minutes until the sauce is reduced to the desired thickness. 
  • Remove from heat and serve hot on a brioche bun.
