Ingredients

  • 4 baking apples
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup butter softened
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • ¼ cup dried figs diced

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Grease a glass baking dish.
  • Using an apple corer or butter knife, cut core of apple out of each apple, leaving 1/4" base at bottom of apple in tact.
  • In a bowl, mix butter, walnuts, cinnamon.
  • Spoon walnut mixture into apples.
  • Arrange in baking dish and bake until softened, about 40 minutes.
  • Top with diced figs.
  • Bake additional 5 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and carefully plate - caution - apples will be extremely hot.
  • Top with whipped cream or ice cream.
  • Serve and enjoy!
