- 4 baking apples
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- ¼ cup butter softened
- 2 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
- ¼ cup dried figs diced
Preheat oven to 350F.
Grease a glass baking dish.
Using an apple corer or butter knife, cut core of apple out of each apple, leaving 1/4" base at bottom of apple in tact.
In a bowl, mix butter, walnuts, cinnamon.
Spoon walnut mixture into apples.
Arrange in baking dish and bake until softened, about 40 minutes.
Top with diced figs.
Bake additional 5 minutes.
Remove from oven and carefully plate - caution - apples will be extremely hot.
Top with whipped cream or ice cream.
Serve and enjoy!
