Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry defrosted but cold
  • 1 cup Nutella hazelnut spread
  • 3 bananas cut into ¼ inch sliced
  • 2 tbsp melted salted butter
  • 1 tsp white sugar
  • 16 chocolate chips or edible eyes

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Lay the puff pastry sheets out. Cut one sheet into 8 rectangular pieces and the other sheet into strips (these will be the mummy casing so cut them however thick or thin you prefer).
  • Spread nutella on each rectangle of puff pastry then place a few banana slices on top. Place 2 banana slices in the top half for the mummy eyes then set strips of puff pastry on top and push in around the edges to seal them in place.
  • Place your 8 mummies on the prepared baking sheet. Spread the melted butter on top of the puff pastry and sprinkle with sugar.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly then enjoy!
