This salad tastes best with the dressing tossed with the salad as opposed to drizzled over, it helps give the full flavor of a classic BLT sandwich.
You can use any croutons you’d like but these are my preference.
Milk or heavy cream may be used in place of buttermilk in the dressing.
This salad can be prepared in advance, but don’t add the dressing until just before serving.
This salad should be enjoyed within an hour or two of adding the dressing.
