Ingredients

  • 1 can of biscuit dough
  • 1 cup of cinnamon sugar 1 cup sugar + 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • Canola oil for frying

Instructions

  • Open the can and separate the biscuits. Cut each into six pieces.
  • Mix sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish and set aside.
  • In a deep fryer or heavy pot, heat canola oil to 350°F (175°C). Make sure there's enough oil to submerge the dough.
  • Drop a small piece of dough in. If it sizzles and floats, the oil is ready.
  • Carefully place biscuit dough pieces in the hot oil, a few at a time. Don't overcrowd the pot.
  • Cook for about 1-2 minutes per side until they're golden brown.
  • Use tongs to flip the biscuits for even cooking.
  • Remove the fried biscuits with tongs and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  • While still warm, roll the biscuits in the cinnamon sugar mix for that lovely coating.
