- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- ¼ teaspoon ginger
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon clove
- 1-2 cardamom pods
- 1 teaspoon juniper berries
- ¼ vanilla bean
- 3-4 star anise pods
In a small pan, combine water, sugar, and spices.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, to dissolve sugar.
When sugar is fully dissolved, remove from stove and let cool.
Store in airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
