My family and I were fortunate enough to have been able to stop and experience the Ark Encounter in Kentucky this summer which was an incredible Christian experience! The Ark was built to the true size outlined in the Old Testament and pairs beautifully with a visit to the Creation Museum just 45 minutes away!

I felt very unprepared when I went so have compiled a list of where to stay, eat, and what to do in the area to help other families plan their faith filled visit.

What is the Ark Encounter?

For those of you who don’t already know, the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, Kentucky, is a life-size replica of Noah’s Ark, stretching 510 feet long and built to the exact biblical dimensions. Walking through its massive wooden structure is a breathtaking and awe-inspiring experience for all Christians. With stunning craftsmanship and immersive exhibits, the ancient Bible story is brought to life. The Ark offers engaging displays on animal care, ancient cultures, and biblical history, making it both educational and inspiring for all ages. With beautiful grounds, a zoo, zip lines, and hands-on activities, the Ark Encounter is a must-see destination that blends faith, family fun, and awe-inspiring architecture.
