How to Make Cinnamon Raisin Bagels in the Air Fryer

These Air Fryer Cinnamon Raisin Bagels are quick, yeast-free homemade bagels made with simple pantry ingredients and cooked entirely in the air fryer. Greek yogurt keeps the dough tender and chewy, while cinnamon and raisins add warm, sweet flavor in every bite. Ready in under 20 minutes, theyโ€™re perfect toasted with butter or cream cheese for a fast breakfast or brunch treat.

Air Fryer Bagels Ingredients

First assemble the following ingredients:

  • Self-rising flour (1ย & 1/4 cups) – This flour provides the structure and built-in leavening that helps the bagels rise and develop a soft, chewy crumb without needing yeast.
  • Raisins (ยฝย cup) – Sweet, plump raisins add little bursts of natural sweetness in every bite, perfectly balancing the warm cinnamon spice.
  • Light brown sugar (2ย tablespoons) – Brown sugar adds subtle caramel notes and moisture, deepening the cozy flavor profile of the bagels.
  • Ground Cinnamon (1ย & 1/2 teaspoons) – Warm and aromatic, cinnamon gives these bagels that classic bakery-style spice that makes them irresistible toasted.
  • Fine sea salt (pinch) – Just a touch of salt enhances the sweetness and keeps the flavors balanced and well-rounded.
  • Greek yogurt (1ย cup) – Thick Greek yogurt creates a tender, chewy dough while adding moisture and richness without the need for yeast.
  • Vanilla extract (ยฝย teaspoon) – A splash of vanilla rounds out the cinnamon and brown sugar with soft, warm sweetness.
  • Large egg (1) – Brushed on top, the egg wash helps create a golden, glossy finish on the bagels as they cook.
  • Splash of water – Mixed with the egg, water thins the wash slightly so it spreads evenly for a smooth, shiny crust.
  • Olive oil spray – A light coating prevents sticking in the air fryer and helps the bagels develop a lightly crisp exterior.

Tips and Tricks For Perfect Air Fryer Bagels

Scoop. Measure flour by scooping lightly with your measuring cup and using a butter knife or other straight edge to scrape across the top.

Evenly Distribute the Raisins. Fold them in gently to avoid clumping so every bite has balanced sweetness.

Cool Before Slicing. Let the bagels rest for a few minutes after cooking so the interior sets properly.

Watch the Top Browning. If the tops brown too quickly, loosely tent with foil to finish cooking through.

Donโ€™t Overwork the Dough. Mix just until combined โ€” over-kneading can make the bagels tough instead of tender.

Air Fryer Cinnamon Raisin Bagels FAQs
