Cinnamon Raisin Bagels in the Air Fryer

There is nothing better than the flavor of a freshly-baked cinnamon raisin bagel. These are perfect bagels, chewy with the warmth of cinnamon.

The thing that prevents me from enjoying homemade bagels more often is how much work they are! Now that I’ve perfected the art of bagels in the air fryer, these are a treat I can enjoy all the time.

This air fryer cinnamon raisin bagel recipe is so fast and easy, try it for yourself and you’ll make them all the time!

How To Make Air Fryer Bagels

This bread can stay up to three days in a sealed container at room temperature.

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. In a large bowl, stir together the flour, raisins, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add the Greek yogurt and vanilla, stir it in to form a loose dough. Turn it out on a floured clean work surface and knead it until it forms a ball, the dough will be sticky, that’s okay.
  2. Divide the dough into four sections, roll them into balls. Working with one dough ball at a time, roll it into a log about 8-9 inches long. Pinch the ends together to form a circle, repeat with the remaining dough.
  3. In a small bowl whisk together the egg and water.
  4. Spray the basket of the air fryer with olive oil spray, or you can use a parchment paper insert. Lay the bagels into the air fryer, not touching, you will need to cook in batches.
  5. Brush the egg wash all over the tops of the bagels. Cook for 8-10 minutes until the bagels are golden brown on top.

Tips For Perfect Air Fryer Bagels

Measure flour by scooping lightly with your measuring cup and using a butter knife or other straight edge to scrape across the top.

When mixing the dry and wet ingredients, make sure not to overmix. Overmixing can make your bread tough and chewy.

Mixing to “just combined” also helps the wet ingredients retain air to keep your bread nice and fluffy.
