Avon, Colorado is one of the most beautiful places in Colorado, you have to check it out with your family!

We recently headed back up to my parents condo in Avon Colorado (think Beaver Creek Resort)- and while I didn’t get to go and do as much as we normally do this time because I am still recovering from surgery, I did get to see New Years Eve fireworks over the Beaver Creek Village with the kids (they do a firework show at 6:45- awesome for little kids though it was brutally cold this year). Our kids loved Beaver Creek Ski School!

I also got to catch the kiddos sledding at Nottingham Park (though I couldn’t do the lifting or riding with them, I got to catch some gorgeous snaps!). Nottingham Park is just north of Beaver Creek Resort. While there is a truly awesome sledding hill on the south side of the lake (by the police department and library), we hit up the north side of the park for a gentile slope as my kids haven’t been sledding before. They loved it and we had a blast!

Here’s a few shots from our time in the mountains- can’t wait to head up again this season when I am feeling a bit better!

Last time we visited Avon we did it in alongside a trip to Breckenridge where we stayed at the amazing Ranahan by Welk Resort that is a must see! If you want to know where to eat in Breckenridge, you have to read my foodie tour guide! We then went with my parents on a trip to Vail!
