Tips to Perfect 4 Ingredient Keto Jalapeno Cheese Bread

This gluten and grain free low carb cloud bread is super simple – and can be made either soft and foldable (for a pita, tortilla, or wrap style bread) – OR with a crunchier crust like a fresh baked artisan bread.

The method for each is a little different – and for the slightly crunchy crust you’ll need a special perforated silicone bread baking mat (I use a Silpain mat) to raise your bread up over any excess liquid runoff, giving you a deliciously fresh baked bread crispy crust.

Make it a tortilla:

  • Bake on parchment paper or foil and trim off any egg liquid that runs off from rolls.
  • Don’t cook until crunchy browned – bread will be fully cooked, but not crispy on the top.

Make it crispy:

  • Use a Silpain mat or similar perforated silicone baking mat over your cookie sheet.
  • Any extra egg liquid will drop below the mat, allowing the bread to create a crispier crust that mimics fresh artisan bread.

Low Carb Keto Jalapeno Cheese Bread

Yield: 6 people
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 17 minutes

4 Ingredient Keto Jalapeno Cheese Bread is a simple, easy, and delicious low carb grain and flour free baked bread bursting with cheesy jalapeno flavor that tastes just like fresh baked bread with only 1 carb per serving for an indulgent bread you can eat on a keto, paleo, or low carb diet!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, any kind of cheese that melts well.
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan , or asiago, other hard, dry, grated cheese.
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup jalapenos, rings, sliced, or diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Combine the shredded cheese and egg in a bowl and mix it until the ingredients are fully combined.
  3. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat divide the mixture equally into four or six equal parts (depending on the size bread you want).
  4. Place jalapenos into the bread mixtures individually.
  5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese has fully melted and created a slight brown crust.
  6. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly then enjoy!

Notes

Keep leftovers in a ziplock bag in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.

Feel free to mix up your cheese selection - but stick with one grated hard, dry cheese (like parmesan or asiago) to keep the flour-like texture.

    1. Thank you for noting that, you simply place them on the laid out mixture right before baking, I have updated the instructions.

  1. Super tasty! I added some onion powder, garlic powdet, a pinch of Italian seasoning and 2 Tablespoons of flax meal, per another review.
This will be a regular in our rotation.

  2. I’ve tried dozens of Keto friendly foods—this recipe of yours is easy and absolutely wonderful. I made them tonight, I used 2 different cheeses,2 different hot peppers WOW. I’m not easily impressed ,but this recipe impressed me.THANK YOU.. I’ll be waiting for more recipes swm

    1. Manoj – I haven’t found one yet, but we go vegan a couple of times a year as a part of our religion, and I am trtying to find a good replacement for those times. I will let you know if I find one!

    2. Hi, I have a friend that is allergic to chicken eggs, but she is not allergic to duck or turkey eggs, she uses duck eggs in all of her recipes and she has recently purchased her own ducks and is now getting eggs from them. She used to get incredibly sick from chicken eggs. I just wanted to add that note in case this isn’t something you have tried.

    3. Hi Manoj I hear that ground flaxseed can be used as an egg substitute. You mix the flaxseed with some water (not sure of measurements). Haven’t tried it myself but plan to with this recipe

  3. Great recipe! Easy to make and. Came out perfect.
So versatile! Flat bread tortilla or just a snack. Thank you! Would love to share on instagram with links to you

  4. TYVM. I added (roughly) a couple of Tablespoons each of Lifesource Oat Fiber and unflavored Whey Protein Isolate to give them a more bread-like consistency, and used 1/2 can of drained, diced Hatch mild chilis instead of jalapeños (because that’s what I had in the house). Hubby said it’s a keeper. Much easier than doctoring up a keto bread recipe with cheese and jalapeño. Again, thank you!!

    1. I definitely made this recipe to be a sort of substitute, not an exact replica of bread – I’m so glad you got that and loved the recipe!
