Crisp refreshing Easy Apple Cider Mojitos are a cold sparkling spiked apple cider cocktail that is simple to make and perfect for parties!

There is nothing better in the shift to fall when you want delicious apple cider flavors – but the temperature is still soaring.

These apple cider mojitos are the perfect way to get more of that delicious apple cinnamon flavor in a cool, refreshing, and delicious spiked cider cocktail!

While many mojitos use rum (mojitos are a popular Cuban rum and sugar drink, with tons of muddled mint flavor), we’re using a caramel flavored vodka to give this mojito a sweet caramel twist.

You can sub out the caramel vodka for a white rum as well, for a bit more of an authentic twist.

You can also try using my Apple Pie Moonshine for a bit more boozy apple kick!

Apple Cider Mojitos

We love making mojitos – they are a fun, fresh, and delicious drink that taste great and are easy to whip up, but seem fancy.

These cocktails are great for a party, or just a warm fall afternoon – you’re going to crave them all the time in fall!

Be sure to serve these mojitos with some Apple Sopapilla Cheesecake, Easy Caramel Apple Spice Cake, or Easy Bakery Style Apple Turnovers for even more fresh apple flavor!

  • Mojitos are light and fresh, sweet but aren’t overwhelming – great for parties!
  • If it’s too hot for apple cider, but you want fall flavor, these mojitos will get you in the mood for apple picking without breaking a sweat.
  • Mint, cinnamon, and apple make an amazing combination you won’t be able to get enough of!

To Make These Apple Cider Mojitos You’ll Need

  • 2 oz Caramel vodka (smirnoff)
  • 1 oz apple cider simple syrup
  • 3 oz sparkling water
  • 4-5 mint leaves

Apple Cider Simple Syrup

  • 2 slices apple
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 oz apple cider
glass with apple cider mojitos mint and cinnamon

Liquor For Mojitos

Traditionally, mojitos use rum, since rum is popular and easy to get in Cuba, where mojitos became popular.

Vodka is often used in mojitos in America though, since white rum and vodka can work in the same cocktail recipes and give slightly different flavors.

We’re using Smirnoff caramel vodka for this recipe, but you can use another vodka or white rum without caramel flavor if desired.

If you’d like to use white rum or unflavored vodka, but still want the caramel flavor, you can add a little caramel syrup or melt a caramel candy to the apple cider simple syrup when boiling to add the flavor back in.

Apple Cider Simple Syrup

This recipe gets its sweet cider flavor from a delicious and easy to make apple cider simple syrup.

This simple syrup is easy to whip up, and great in a number of cocktails.

Apple Cider Simple Syrup Ingredients

  • 2 slices apple
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 oz apple cider

How to Prepare Apple Cider Simple Syrup

Add all of the ingredients to a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and let simmer for 2 minutes.

Remove from heat.

Store leftovers in a jar with an airtight lid in refrigerator for up to one week.

How To Make Apple Cider Mojitos

This recipe is simple – given a few easy steps.

First, make the cider simply syrup.

Next, muddle mint.

Add ice, vodka, and simple syrup, and enjoy!

How to Muddle Mint

Muddling mint is a very important part of making a mojito – it helps to release the mint’s flavor.

If you don’t muddle your mint to release the oil in the leaves, it won’t have as much flavor.

To muddle mint, use a muddler or the back of a spoon and press the mint against the glass you’re making the drink in.

It helps to have some liquid (either the alcohol or simple syrup) in the glass when muddling.

Press the mint until the smell is incredibly strong and leaves give off oil.

Leave mint leaves in glass and make drink!
