Microwave Peppermint Cookie Dough Fudge for One is a quick, sweet, and delicious single-serve Christmas treat you’ll love to make when you don’t need a huge platter of fudge!

This quick fudge is so easy! I like this dessert when my kids are begging for something sweet after dinner but don’t feel like making something complicated- and it comes with the extra bonus of portion control since it’s one serving.

At Sweet C’s, I add lots of tips in all of my recipes – because I am a home cook without any formal training, and I find I am more confident making dishes when I understand why it works, and what each ingredient means to the flavor of a recipe. My goal is for even the most beginner home cook to feel empowered in the kitchen.

First assemble the following ingredients:

  • Powdered sugar (¼ cup) – Adds sweetness while keeping the fudge smooth and soft.
  • Cookie dough pudding mix (1 cup) – Infuses the fudge with rich cookie dough flavor and a creamy texture.
  • Butter (2 tbsp) – Gives richness and helps the fudge set with a silky finish.
  • Vanilla (½ tsp) – Enhances the sweetness and balances the peppermint with warm, mellow notes.
  • Milk (1 tsp) – Loosens the mixture slightly, making it easier to blend.
  • Sprinkles – Bring color, crunch, and a festive touch to the fudge.
  • Candy cane (1 crushed) – Adds peppermint crunch and a refreshing, minty burst in every bite.

Microwave in short intervals – Heat the chocolate in 20–30 second bursts, stirring between each, to prevent scorching.

Chop peppermint candy finely – Small bits fold into the fudge better and give a more delicate crunch.

Line your bowl with parchment – This makes it easy to clean the bowl afterward

Add extract sparingly – Peppermint extract is very strong, so start with a small amount and taste before adding more.

Chill thoroughly before cutting – At least 2–3 hours in the fridge ensures clean slices and firm texture.

Store in an airtight container – Keep in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.

Sprinkle crushed candy canes on top – For a festive, pretty finish that also adds extra peppermint crunch.

FAQs

Why did my fudge turn out grainy instead of smooth?

Graininess usually happens if the white chocolate overheats or seizes; microwave in short bursts and stir often to keep it creamy.

Can I make this fudge ahead of time?

Absolutely—peppermint cookie dough fudge keeps well in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or can be frozen for up to two months.

How do I keep the cookie dough layer from sticking when cutting?

Line your pan with parchment paper and use a sharp knife warmed under hot water for smooth, clean slices.

Can I add mix-ins besides peppermint?

Yes! Mini chocolate chips, crushed Oreos, or festive sprinkles are all fun additions alongside the peppermint.
