How To Make Peach Margaritas

Add ice, tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and peach simple syrup to a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for 15 seconds until chilled.

Dip a margarita glass in simple syrup or run a lime wedge around the rim and dip in salt or sugar.

Fill the glass with ice.

Strain the cocktail shaker into the prepared glass and garnish with peach and lime slices.

What Peach Syrup To Use For Peach Margaritas

For these peach margaritas, we’re using our peach simple syrup recipe.

We like using a simple syrup from real peaches, since it gives a natural, light, and fresh flavor instead of an overly fake and too-sweet peach flavor – but if you don’t have time to pre-make the simple syrup (it only takes about 30 minutes), you can use a Torani Peach syrup instead.

Frozen Peach Margaritas

If you make this frozen, add all of the ingredients to a blender with ice – but I recommend adding a fresh or frozen peach to it since the ice will dilute the overall flavor.

You can also add more simple syrup but it will make it sweeter as well.

What Tequila to Use For Peach Margaritas

We recommend using a tequila you like that is not smoky or rich – pick a mid-range blanco or silver tequila that you love the flavor of.

Reposado tequilas can give a funky flavor with fresh peaches, so go for a silver or blanco tequila.

We don’t recommend a flavored tequila for this margarita so you can control more of the flavor with your peach simple syrup (we’re going for a fresh peach flavor instead of an over syrupy peach taste.)

Recipe FAQs

Should I use simple syrup or peach syrup in a margarita?

You can use the peach simple syrup recipe or torani peach syrup.

Can I make make peach margaritas frozen or shaken?

If you make this frozen, add all of the ingredients to a blender with ice – but I recommend adding a fresh or frozen peach to it since the ice will dilute the overall flavor.
You can also add more simple syrup but it will make it sweeter as well.
