- Using ground turkey is a lighter, lower fat choice for burgers you can feel good about feeding your family!
- Skip the bun and use lettuce leaves for a keto turkey burger.
- Can be air fried, pan fried, or grilled!
- To reduce calories, please skip the bun (which will save 250 calories). You can also use homemade ranch dressing seasonings, which will cut your sodium.
- Greek yogurt can be used in place of mayonnaise in aioli, but we like the mayo texture better.
Air Fryer Ranch Turkey Burgers
If you’d like to air fry your turkey burgers, we’re providing simple modifications to the recipe below, which use a pan fry method.
While your ingredients and burger prep will all remain the same, the cooking steps will differ as follows:
- Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees. This isn’t essential but we find it works the best instead of using nonstick spray.
- Add 3-4 patties at a time depending on the size of your air fryer basket.
- Cook for 5 minutes, then flip the patties and cook for 4 more minutes.
- Once 8 minutes have passed, add a slice of cheese to the top of each patty and cook for 1 more minute.
- Repeat until all patties are cooked, and turkey is 165 F degrees in the center with a meat thermometer.
Grilling Turkey Burgers
Since grilling turkey burgers will be a little bit different than pan frying from the recipe below, we’re adding modifications to the recipe if you’d like to grill your turkey burgers.
- Heat the grill to 450*.
- Once it has reached temp, wait 5 minutes before adding the patties to assure the grill plates are nice and hot.
- Dip a paper towel into cooking oil and use tongs to wipe the oil onto the grill grates where you will be placing the burgers to prevent sticking.
- Add burger patties directly to the grill grates.
- Flip patties after 6 minutes, then cook for 4 more minutes.
- Place a slice of cheese onto each patty and cook for 1 more minute.
- Toast the burger buns at the same time you melt the cheese.
Avocado Ranch Aioli

- ½ cup sour cream
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp sea salt
- For Serving

Instructions
- Heat a cast iron skillet or grill pan over high heat.
- Set aside 2 tsp of ranch seasoning for use in the aioli.
- Add all burger patty ingredients to a large bowl and combine using a wooden spoon or dough whisk. (ground turkey, diced red onion, dried basil, ranch seasoning, black pepper)
- Prepare the patties: Use a ¼ cup measuring cup to scoop uniform sized patties. Use your hand to form into a ball, then gently press down to make the patties. Aim for ¼” thick, 6” patties. *Tip, make the middle of the patty slightly thinner than the edges to help the patty to hold its shape as it cooks. It will shrink slightly once cooked*

- Cook for 4 minutes, then flip the patties and cook for 4 more minutes.
- Once 8 minutes have passed, add a slice of cheese to the top of each patty and cook for 1 more minute.
- Repeat until all patties are cooked, then add the buns cut side down to the grill pan and cook for 2 minutes to lightly toast.
- Prepare aioli. Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender and puree.
- Assemble the burgers.
- Add a piece of butter lettuce to the bottom bun and top with the burger patty.
