Keto Everything Seasoned Asparagus
I love everything bagels, I remember when they first started selling the seasoning in the spice section and I bought as many as I could and tried it on everything! While I can't say I recommend everything bagel seasoning on ice cream, it goes very well with oven roast veggies.
Asparagus have always been a family favorite in our home. My kids love these “green fries” and always think it's funny that it makes their pee smell different *cue parent eye roll*. The combination of fresh asparagus and everything bagel seasoning will blow your mind. You and your family are going to love them!
How to Make Everything Bagel Seasoned Asparagus
To make this recipe, you'll need:
- Asparagus - you want to go with fresh asparagus and trim the ends. Asparagus has a mild sweet flavor and soaks up the olive oil and seasoning well.
- Olive oil - oil will add richness to the asparagus and help the seasoning and salt stay on them. You want to use a rich oil that is dark in color. Beware of colored glass olive oil bottles that try to make low quality olive oil look dark.
- Everything Bagel seasoning - everything bagel seasoning is a mix of poppy seeds, sesame seeds, dried onion flakes, and kosher salt. You can make your own mix if you prefer. This seasoning adds a lovely flavor but also a crunch.
- Sea Salt - I always use a fine grain sea salt since it seasons things evenly. Salt will enhance the flavor of the asparagus.
Once you’ve gathered your ingredients, we will use the following method:
- Step 1 - Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper to make cleanup easier. Put the asparagus on the baking sheet and drizzle with the olive oil tossing to coat. Season with sea salt and the everything bagel seasoning to your liking.
- Step 2 - Bake in the oven at 425 degrees for 10 - 15 minutes.
- Step 3 - Taste them when they are slightly cooled and add more salt if desired.
- Step 4 - Enjoy!

Add more seasonings. If you want to add more of a kick you can add a sprinkle of onion powder and/or garlic powder. Since everything bagels have fresh garlic and onion in them it will help enhance the flavor. You can also add some red pepper flakes for a little heat.
Don't overcook. If you cook the asparagus too long they will be really limp and overly soft. You want them to still have a bright green color and a bite. Test for doneness by sticking a fork in them and if it goes through easily they are done.
Add cheese. If you want to go full bagel, feel free to spread some soft cheese over your asparagus, you can use cream cheese or my favorite – Boursin.
FAQs
Leftovers can be kept in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator. They will be softer when reheated but still tasty.
I like to add leftover asparagus over a salad for a hearty lunch. Yum!

Everything Bagel Seasoning Asparagus
These everything bagel seasoned asparagus have all the delicious crunchy flavor you love without the carbs!
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh asparagus, ends trimmed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning, or more/less to taste
- 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
Instructions
- Heat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Place the trimmed asparagus on the baking sheet and drizzle evenly with the olive oil. Toss briefly so that the asparagus are evenly coated in the oil. Then arrange them back out in an even layer, and sprinkle evenly with the everything bagel seasoning.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the asparagus reaches your desired level of tenderness.
- Taste and season with extra salt if needed.
