What Fruit To Use In Easy Red Sangria

We’re calling for oranges and apples in this sangria – but you can add more fruits to the recipe depending on what you like.

Some of our favorite additions are below:

  • Grapes
  • Strawberries
  • Blackberries
  • Kiwi
  • Lemon
  • Grapefruit
  • Blueberries
  • Pears

What Wine To Use In Sangria

We’re using red wine for this sangria, but it does matter what wine you pick for this drink.

We prefer Granache for a red sangria – it’s an inexpensive and delicious red wine from Spain that isn’t too overpowering, peppery, or bold.

Pinot noir or Rioja blends also work – look for bottles under $20 that you enjoy drinking on their own – but don’t use an expensive bottle since we’re adding more to the recipe.
