Homemade Orange Julius Smoothies, a blast from our childhoods, are the perfect indulgent treat for summer! Kids can help make them, too!
One of my favorite treats growing up was getting a delicious, smooth, and refreshing Orange Julius smoothies at the mall. There was nothing better- the almost sickeningly sweet, creamy, and thick orange smoothies were always amazing as a kid.
In elementary school, a friend of mine and I took a cooking class and we made all sorts of delicious treats like pancakes and strawberry sauce- and thick, creamy, and delicious orange julius smoothies.
They were so good- and I loved that I knew how to make one of my favorite treats at home!
In all honesty, I haven’t made one since probably the fifth grade. They are not exactly good for you- but man, they are DELICIOUS!
I recently made the, for my kids, and they FLIPPED.
They have never had an actual orange julius – but they loved helping to make these.
Pro tip: don’t use cheap orange juice. Buy the higher quality concentrate, since you’ll get a weird fake flavor if the concentrate isn’t your favorite!
