Keto Adobo air Fried Chicken Thighs

I’ve been trying to stick to a keto diet when not traveling – and it isn’t always easy. A lot of low carb recipes involve complicated techniques, weird ingredients, and patience – but this recipe is simple, quick, and so delicious!

This chicken is unbelievably juicy, crunchy, and bursting with flavor – and is absolutely to die for!

Soft, full of flavor, with a bit of a crispy crunch (without adding ANY breading – just some adobo seasoning) – these are my absolute new favorite chicken thighs recipe ever – and it just happens to be naturally low carb and keto.

If you’re not watching your carbs, these chicken thighs are still amazing – and great with all sorts of side dishes like pasta and rice.

If you’re looking for a great low carb or keto dinner, make this chicken with cauliflower rice, broccolini, or chop it up and use it in chicken stuffed avocados or chicken salad

How To Coo Adobo Chicken Thighs in an Air Fryer

If you want to know how to cook chicken thighs in an air fryer, you’re in luck – because it is CRAZY easy.

Air fryers circulate hot air around food like it would if dropped into hot oil – without all the extra fat!

Air fryers are fabulous for chicken, meatballs, chicken wings – and chicken thighs.

You really don’t need to do anything special to cook a chicken thigh in an air fryer – simply season, add to the air fryer basket
(I try to make sure they arent touching or overly crowded, so they crisp up better), and cook.

You don’t want to make any kind of drippy breading or coating to air fry chicken, since it will sit on a basket and anything too liquid will drip down and fall off the chicken. Dry breadings, and dredgings that stick to chicken without sliding off will be fine in an air fryer.

What Temperature To Cook Chicken Thighs in the Air Fryer

I cook chicken thighs at 350 degrees in my Phillips air fryer.

Place chicken in the basket of an air fryer, making sure they don’t touch.

How Long to Cook Chicken in an  Air Fryer

-Cook chicken for 10 minutes on one side.

-Flip to the other side and cook for another 10 minutes.

-Serve and enjoy!

What is Adobo Seasoning

I use Goya Adobo Seasoning on my chicken thighs.

Goya Adobo Seasoning is based on a Puerto Rican version of adobo – which is a dry blend called seco and the traditional wet Mexican marinade that includes vinegar.

Goya adobo is a mixture of saltgarlicoregano, and black pepper and is a traditional Puerto Rican seasoning.

Hot Tip: Goya Adobo Seasoning can be very salty – so please use the low sodium/light blend when making this dish if you’re watching sodium or prefer less salty dishes.

I prefer this chicken with regular Adobo, and my husband prefers the less salty version.

You can buy Goya Adobo Seasoning blend here.

What to enjoy with Adobo Air Fried Chicken THighs

Steamed Jasmine Rice: The perfect base to soak up the adobo sauce, providing a mild, fragrant contrast to the savory chicken.

Garlic Fried Rice (Sinangag): Adds a garlicky crunch that complements the tangy flavors of the adobo.

Atchara (Pickled Papaya): A Filipino pickle that adds a sweet and tangy crunch, offering a refreshing counterpoint to the rich chicken.

Green Bean Stir-fry: A simple side of stir-fried green beans with a hint of soy sauce and garlic pairs well, adding a crunchy, healthy element.

Cucumber Salad: Sliced cucumbers in a vinegar dressing can cleanse the palate and add a crisp texture.

Sautéed Spinach with Garlic: A quick and nutritious side that balances the meal with its earthy flavors.

Mango Salsa: The sweetness of mango salsa can brighten the deep, savory notes of the adobo chicken.

Grilled Eggplant: Grilled or roasted eggplant offers a smoky, tender vegetable option that absorbs the adobo flavors beautifully.

Sweet Potato Mash: A creamy and slightly sweet side that contrasts nicely with the savory, tangy chicken.

  1. I am trying these tonight but I have no adobo seasoning. I am going to combine some salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano, also some lemon seasoning and see what happens!
